The 2009 Idea Guide presented by the American
Camp Association, New York is the resource
for camps, summer and after-school programs,
and educators. The Idea
Guide delivers
your message to 10,000 camps and summer
programs at the right time—as camp
directors and educators are preparing for
the summer season. The Idea
Guide is distributed by the American Camp Association,
New York, renowned for the largest annual
Camp Conference in the world, the Tri-State
Camp Conference, which is held in March
of each year at the Atlantic City Convention
Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The
Idea Guide will also serve as a vehicle
to deliver ideas and best practices to
camp directors and experiential educators.
Several prominent camp educators have contributed
to the Idea Guide with articles on topics
such as evaluating staff, group development,
and games. Camp professionals are sure
to return to your message time and time
again as they refer back to the hands-on
information provided by these articles.
Demographics and Circulation
The Idea Guide will be mailed in January
of 2009 to 10,000 camp and summer program
directors and senior staff. Distribution
includes all ACA member camps and many
other summer recreational programs in
New York State, including New York City
and the following counties: Columbia,
Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Nassau, Orange,
Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, Sullivan,
Ulster, and Westchester.
